Overview
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Dishwasher/Kitchen Helper to join our dynamic food service team. This role is essential in supporting the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring smooth meal preparation and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food industry work, possess basic kitchen skills, and demonstrate a strong work ethic. Prior restaurant or food handling experience is a plus but not required, as training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness of kitchenware and ensuring smooth food preparation operations
- Potential to assist with meal preparation and food assembly under the supervision of chefs or kitchen managers
- Support food handling and storage procedures to ensure compliance with food safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas to promote a hygienic environment
- Help with basic cooking tasks such as chopping, mixing, and portioning ingredients
- Follow all safety guidelines and proper sanitation procedures at all times
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not mandatory
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and meal preparation methods is preferred but not mandatory
- Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills and willingness to learn new skills
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions accurately
- Prior kitchen experience or food industry background is considered an asset but not essential
