Duties
- Perform professional massage therapy sessions including deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy tailored to individual client needs
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to develop customized treatment plans that address specific concerns such as pain management or occupational health issues
- Utilize your knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to ensure safe and effective treatments
- Educate clients on post-treatment care and recommend appropriate self-care practices for ongoing wellness
- Maintain accurate and detailed client records, including treatment notes and progress reports
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring a clean, sanitized, and welcoming environment
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals or specialists when necessary to optimize patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Valid registration as a Massage Therapist with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario
- Proven experience in patient service, with a focus on patient assessment and personalized care plans
- Skilled in various massage techniques including deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and other modalities for pain relief
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to massage therapy
- Prior experience working in a med spa or occupational health setting is preferred
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with clients
- Ability to work independently while maintaining professionalism in a fast-paced environment
