Dental Assistant – Government Institutional Dental Services
Job Summary
Dr. M. Ahmad Dentistry Professional Corporation is seeking dedicated and professional Dental Assistants to provide chairside assistance in government institutional dental clinics across Ontario.
This is an excellent opportunity to work in a well-organized clinical environment alongside experienced dentists providing emergency and basic dental services to adult patients.
Flexible part-time, casual and contract opportunities are available at multiple locations.
Qualifications
Applicants must:
* Have a minimum of 3 years of clinical dental assisting experience.
* Possess the qualifications required to practise as a Dental Assistant in Ontario, including successful completion of all National Dental Assisting Examining Board (NDAEB) examination requirements.
* Hold a valid HARP Certificate.
* Have completed 24 or more Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) online courses (or be willing to complete them before assignment).
* Demonstrate knowledge of RCDSO Standards of Practice and Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) requirements.
* Be professional, reliable, and able to work independently as part of a dental team.
* Be eligible to obtain and maintain the required institutional security clearance before commencing work.
Responsibilities
* Provide chairside assistance during dental examinations and treatment.
* Prepare treatment rooms and maintain a clean clinical environment.
* Clean, package and sterilize instruments according to IPAC standards.
* Take and process dental radiographs in accordance with HARP requirements.
* Maintain accurate clinical records and assist with patient flow.
* Monitor inventory and prepare instruments and materials for treatment.
* Assist in maintaining compliance with all infection prevention and control requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in:
* Government, institutional, hospital, public health or community dental clinics.
* Emergency dental care.
* Electronic dental record systems.
