We are looking for automotive technicians that are able to work independently of others, while also being able to work collaboratively at times with peers. We have a full-service facility and we are looking for automotive technicians to help us create an environment of success!
Responsibilities
As a Midas automotive technician, you’ll be exposed to and have responsibility for performing a wide range of diagnostics, repairs and maintenance, including:
- Diagnostics using state-of-the-art computer systems
- Tires and tire repair
- Car heating and air conditioning
- Steering and suspension
- Belts and hoses
- Radiator and engine cooling systems
- Batteries, starting and charging
- Steering and suspension
- Brake repair
- Oil services
- Check engine light
- Mufflers and exhaust services
- Visual safety and courtesy inspections
Qualifications
- Ability to repair vehicles independently, while also having experience working well in a team environment
- Knowledge in automotive brakes, exhaust, suspension, tires & engine diagnostics
- Track record of high personal productivity
- Knowledge of, and adherence to, safety and environmental standards for repair facilities
- Experience using shop equipment such as lifts, tire changing equipment, alignment machines and diagnostic tools
- Valid driver’s license
- Own tools/equipment
- Able to service both import and domestic vehicles

Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on automobiles, trucks, and industrial equipment using advanced tools and equipment.
- Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake inspections, tire rotations, and fluid replacements.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems, engines, transmissions, HVAC systems, and other mechanical components.
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to identify issues accurately.
- Operate heavy machinery including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery as needed for specialized repairs or maintenance tasks.
- Use welding and fabrication skills to repair or modify parts when necessary.
- Follow safety protocols during all repair procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs performed and parts used for each vehicle or machine serviced.
- Assist with assembly or disassembly of complex mechanical systems during repairs or upgrades.
Experience
- Proven experience as an automotive technician or mechanic with dealership experience preferred.
- Hands-on experience working with heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, or farm machinery is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of automotive repair techniques including electrical systems, schematics reading, welding, and power tools operation.
- Familiarity with HVAC systems, industrial equipment maintenance, and mechanical troubleshooting is highly desirable.
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as excavators or industrial machinery is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during repairs or parts replacement.
- Excellent customer service skills are beneficial for communicating with clients about repairs and maintenance needs.
