Job Overview
We are recruiting a Labourer / Loader Operator to join our team for projects in Alberta. This role supports aggregate, sand mixing, and construction operations by performing general labour duties, assisting with equipment maintenance, operating a loader when required, and ensuring work sites remain safe and efficient. The successful candidate will be a dependable team player with a strong work ethic and a willingness to perform a variety of tasks.
Responsibilities

Perform general labour duties in support of aggregate, sand mixing, and construction operations.

Operate a wheel loader as required to move, stockpile, and load materials.

Drive a company pickup truck to transport personnel, tools, and materials between project locations.

Fuel equipment and perform routine cleaning and housekeeping of equipment and work areas.

Assist with equipment setup, teardown, and maintenance activities.

Act as a spotter for heavy equipment to ensure safe movement and operation on site.

Shovel materials and perform manual labour as required.

Conduct daily vehicle and equipment inspections and report any maintenance concerns.

Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Work collaboratively with supervisors and crew members to complete work safely and efficiently.
Requirements

Valid Driver's License with a clean driver's abstract.

Previous experience performing general construction or industrial labour.

Experience operating a wheel loader is considered an asset.

Experience working around gravel crushing, screening, or aggregate operations is preferred.

Ability to safely perform physically demanding work, including lifting, shovelling, and working on uneven terrain.

Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Must successfully pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing, including cannabis.
