Responsibilities
- Prepare comprehensive architectural drawing packages, including site plans, floor plans, elevations, building sections, wall sections, and detailed construction drawings.
- Develop and manage 2D and 3D models using AutoCAD, Revit, or similar drafting platforms.
- Produce complete permit and construction documentation for submission and execution.
- Coordinate drawings with structural, mechanical, electrical, and civil disciplines to ensure alignment across all project components.
- Ensure compliance with the Alberta Building Code, municipal regulations, and project specifications.
- Incorporate consultant and vendor information into final drawing sets.
- Conduct site visits to verify existing conditions and measurements; generate accurate as-built drawings as required.
- Provide ongoing drawing updates, revisions, and clarifications to project managers and site teams throughout construction.
- Maintain organized drawing files, document control, and version tracking.
- Participate in internal reviews to enhance design efficiency and constructibility.

Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Architectural Technology, Drafting Technology, or a related discipline.
- 3+ years of experience in architectural drafting, ideally within Western Canada.
- Background in industrial and commercial building projects; experience in manufacturing or design-build environments is an asset.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Solid understanding of the Alberta Building Code and local permitting processes.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and detailing practices.
- Experience collaborating across multi-disciplinary project teams.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
