About the Role
We are currently looking for a Licensed Electrician (309A) to join our construction team.
The successful candidate will be familiar with planning, assembling, connecting, installing, repairing, inspecting, verifying, and maintaining electrical systems in a variety of settings. Electrical systems include heating, lighting, power, communication, control, security systems, and energy generation.
You must also be comfortable measuring, cutting, threading, bending, assembling, and installing conduits, electrical conductor enclosures, and supports.
What You Will Be Responsible For

Lay out, assemble, install, repair, maintain, connect, and/or test electrical systems

Plan installations from blueprints, sketches, and specifications

Install electrical and electronic devices and systems

Systematically diagnose faults in electrical and electronic components as required

Measure, cut, thread, bend, assemble, and install conduits and electrical conductor raceways

Splice and terminate electrical conductors
-
Test electrical and electronic equipment to ensure proper functionality

Work collaboratively with Foremen, Project Managers, apprentices, and other trades

Ensure work is completed safely and in compliance with applicable codes and standards
Qualifications
Required
-
Ontario Licensed Electrician (309A)
-
Registered and in good standing with Skilled Trades Ontario
-
Commercial or industrial electrical experience
-
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
-
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
-
Ability to understand and carry out written and verbal instructions
-
Professional attitude with strong communication skills
-
Valid Ontario Driver's License with a clean abstract
Nice to Have

WHMIS, Working at Heights, and lift certifications

Experience in a multi-trade construction environment

Experience mentoring apprentices

Service and customer-facing experience
