Skills Requirement:
· Experience in commercial construction
· Experience with finishing construction
· Working knowledge of tools and materials
· Proficiency in using hand power tools
· Possess CSA approved safety boots
· Ability to commit to work hours as scheduled
· Hard working, motivated, and reliable
· Ability to take direction and perform repetitive tasks
· The position requires full range of body motion including twisting, bending, reaching, squatting and ability to use hands, arms and legs to physically lift and move items including 50-75lbs
Job duties:
· Site maintenance i.e. moving material, proper disposal of waste, safe handling of hazardous material and general housekeeping
· Assisting carpenters and apprentices with general construction tasks
· Effectively communicate and take direction from the site superintendent to support carpenters on tasks as required
· Follow and maintain safety standards and report any incidents
