Job Summary
Formerly the NBMFRC Childcare Centre, we are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator (Casual) to support the development and well-being of young children in a dynamic educational environment. This role offers flexible scheduling to accommodate various needs and provides an opportunity to make a positive impact on children's early learning experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, classroom experience, and a genuine enthusiasm for working with children.
Skills and Qualifications
- ECE Diploma or related university degree in the field of Early Childhood studies or
- Elementary Education will be considered an asset (as outlined in NB provincial standards)
- Child and Youth certificate is considered an asset when working with school age children
- Completion of the 90hr Introduction to Early Childhood Education
- Criminal record check, vulnerable sector check, social development check.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Able to assist in the provision of childcare at Dandelion Early Learning and Childcare Centre;
- Ability to supervise and interact with children between the ages of 3 months to 12 years of age;
- Must be creative, enthusiastic, motivated, professional and organized;
- Teamwork abilities essential;
- Lifting of children is required;
- Diapering of children;
- Standing, walking, bending twisting and turning;
- Required to take part in outdoor activities during all seasons.
Pay: $19.27-$27.79 per hour
