Experienced Construction Labourer – Commercial Glazing
Position Summary
Titan Glass Ltd. is seeking an experienced Construction Labourer to join our commercial glazing team. This position is ideal for someone with at least two years of construction experience who understands job site safety, basic construction practices, and the demands of commercial construction. Previous glazing experience is not required—we will provide trade-specific training.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation of commercial glazing systems, including storefronts, curtain wall, windows, doors, and architectural glass.
- Load, unload, move, and organize materials and equipment on job sites.
- Prepare work areas and assist installers with daily tasks.
- Safely use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and other construction equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow project drawings and instructions provided by supervisors.
- Work effectively as part of a team to meet project schedules.
- Follow all company safety policies and site-specific safety requirements.
- Perform other labour duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
- Minimum 2 years of construction labour experience.
- Familiarity with general construction practices and job site safety.
- Ability to safely use common hand and power tools.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs (23 kg) regularly and performing repetitive physical work.
- Comfortable working at heights using ladders, scaffolding, or aerial work platforms.
- Reliable transportation to various job sites.
- Valid driver's licence.
- Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn.
Preferred
- Experience in commercial construction.
- Experience working with glass, aluminum, doors, windows, or other building envelope systems.
- Fall Protection, First Aid, Elevated Work Platform, or CSTS certifications.
- Forklift or telehandler experience.
Working Conditions
- Primarily outdoor work on commercial construction sites around Edmonton and Area with select out of town opportunities.
- Regular lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of construction materials.
- Standing, kneeling, bending, climbing, and working at heights.
- Work in varying weather conditions throughout the year.
- Overtime may be required to meet project schedules.
Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
