The Production & Service Support Coordinator plays a key role in supporting production and service operations for medical imaging systems. This role utilizes and develops skills across manufacturing support, logistics, quality, and service activities while working under guidance from senior colleagues.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- Support manufacturing and assembly of medical devices in compliance with regulatory and quality system requirements
- Receive shipments, track inventory, package products, and maintain organized storage and warehouse areas
- Perform incoming inspections on components, subassemblies, and finished goods
- Assist with hands-on maintenance, testing, and basic calibration of medical equipment
- Prepare, package, label, and ship customer orders and internal transfers with care and attention to detail
- Maintain and replenish materials and supplies required for production and order fulfilment
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment
- Work in a safe manner to protect personal health and the safety of others
- Comply with all applicable legal requirements, corporate policies, and ethical business practices
- Assist in documenting and processing non-conforming products and materials in accordance with established NCR procedures
- Review manufacturing and service records for accuracy and completeness
- Participate in maintaining and improving quality system processes and manufacturing procedures
- Assist with assembling system manuals, service documentation, and country configuration kits for global deployment
- Assist service personnel with system preparation for customer installations, upgrades, and repairs
- Support call tracking and documentation of customer issues
- Assist with coordinating parts shipments and RMA processing
- Help track and maintain service parts inventory, including globally distributed service stock
- Assist with occasional field service activities including equipment installation, preventive maintenance and repair tasks as directed
- Support internal training and service activities by preparing equipment, tools, and documentation
- Assist with implementing engineering changes and new product introductions
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within production and service operations
- Coordinate with internal teams across manufacturing, service, quality, and logistics functions
Knowledge/Experience:
- 3–5 years of experience in electronic equipment manufacturing, service, or technical support (medical device environment considered an asset)
- A post-secondary degree/diploma in related discipline or equivalent is preferred
- Exposure to GMP, ISO 9001, and/or ISO 13485 regulated environments is an asset
- Basic ability to read and follow technical documentation, drawings, and work instructions
- Familiarity with general office and documentation tools (Microsoft Office, Excel, call tracking or ERP systems)
- Practical, hands-on aptitude with electronic and electromechanical equipment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in both physical work and documentation
- Developing troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with willingness to learn structured approaches
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Good organizational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities
Pay: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
