Sonic Industrial Services Inc. is in need of a general labourer to assist with sandblasting duties in the construction industry.
Sonic Industrial Services provides surface preparation (sandblasting) for the repair, protection, prevention, and maintenance of our clients projects. Work is both residential and commercial in nature, and is done in around the city of Calgary.
Duties include assisting abrasive blasters in the completion of their daily tasks, helping to prep surfaces for blasting, general housekeeping duties, material handling, completion of maintenance and safety forms, and any other tasks assigned by the supervisor. Work takes place outdoors and requires general physical labour. Appropriate PPE is provided.
Independent work in residential and commercial job sites within the city is essential . Please have a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, ability to follow oral instructions, effective time management skills, willingness to learn, and be physically fit.
We are looking to hire a general labourer immediately. Starting rate of pay is $21.00 - $25.00 per hour. Depending upon experience.
Standard days of work are Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 4:30pm. There is significant potential for weekend work with paid overtime in the summer months.
Previous sandblasting experience is not required, but would be considered an asset. Please note that this is seasonal work, and applicants are required to be able to lift at least 50 lbs with no physical limitations to perform this physical job.
