Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Worker/Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating a forklift, efficiently manage inventory and warehouse distribution operations. This role requires attention to safety, and the ability to perform heavy lifting and order picking tasks. The Warehouse Worker/Forklift Operator plays a vital role in maintaining smooth warehouse operations and ensuring timely order fulfillment.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklift to move, load, and unload materials within the warehouse
- Assist with inventory management by accurately picking items
- Perform heavy lifting as required to handle goods and materials efficiently
- Conduct routine inspections of forklift equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs
- Order picking processes by selecting products according to customer orders with precision
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency
- Follow safety protocols and procedures at all times during forklift operation and warehouse activities
- Be HIGHLY organized and motivated. Keep the warehouse running smoothly
- EXCELLENT communication skills to sales staff and other warehouse workers.
- SELF-STARTER! Once trained, be know when to do things without having to be told multiple times.
Qualifications
- Valid forklift certification/license with experience operating forklifts.
- Prior experience in warehouse distribution or logistics is required
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot basic equipment issues is a plus
- Ability to perform basic math calculations related to inventory counts and measurements
- Strong attention to detail for accurate order picking and inventory management
- Physical ability for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or operating machinery
- Excellent safety awareness and adherence to safety standards in a warehouse environment
Pay: $17.00-$25.00 per hour
