Overview:
REAL ALLOY is the market leader in third-party aluminum recycling and specification alloy production. We have 16 plants strategically located across the United States, Mexico, and Canada. We convert aluminum scrap and by-products into reusable aluminum metal for a growing number of applications across various industries. We are ideally positioned to respond to the needs of an increasingly recycling-conscious world. Advanced technologies enable us to process a large variety of scrap and dross and reduce the amount of residual waste from aluminum manufacturing that would otherwise end up as landfill. This position will be located in MISSISSAUGA, CANADA.
Responsibilities:
The Production Supervisor oversees the Production Department employees working at each stage of the plant floor. This role is critical for ensuring costs are minimized while ensuring quality and health and safety policies are adhered to at all times.
Core Accountabilities

Ensure the assigned production crew meet productivity targets while aligning with company policies and procedures.

Checks the types, location, quantity, and availability of materials needed to complete the production requirements for the shift. Check records from previous shift, and alerts maintenance of potential equipment concerns.

Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet schedules. Determines overtime work schedule and approves hours worked in the timekeeping system.

Generate production reports.

Monitors production output and quality related data, including time and production records.
- Provides hands-on operation of furnaces with responsibility for optimizing recoveries.

Conducts meetings with employees and ensures compliance with all health, safety and environmental regulations, and company policies and procedures.
- Provides relief supervision on weekends, nights, holidays or as needed.

Delegates tasks effectively across the team.
- Define schedules, identify workplace hazards, address employee concerns, approve vacations, set compensation, set priorities and recommend promotions.
- Work with HR, Plant Manager and Production Manager for terminations and disciplinary action.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or relevant combination of education and experience.
- 2 - 3 years’ experience with industrial manufacturing in a leadership position.

Experience using Oracle or similar ERP platforms.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety procedures, operating and maintenance instructions, and other procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively in front of groups of customers and employees.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Ability problem solve in a dynamic and regulated environment, considering several variables.

Proven ability to develop, implement and manage systems and procedures and work with minimal supervision while also leading others toward plant goal achievement.

Must possess strong interpersonal, communication and team leadership skills.

Effective understanding of MS Office products (Excel, Outlook, Word).

Highly motivated, goal oriented, ethical and challenge driven.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation: $70,000 - $80,000 Base Salary
