Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Servers to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards are maintained, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are equally valued. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in food handling, POS systems, and guest relations within a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Micros POS, ensuring proper entry and timely processing
- Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining presentation standards
- Handle cash transactions accurately and perform cashiering duties including cash handling and basic math calculations
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Ensure food safety and sanitation protocols are followed at all times, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures
- Assist in food preparation when necessary, supporting kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations in compliance with sanitation standards
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Address guest inquiries promptly, providing excellent guest services and resolving any issues professionally
Skills
- Experience with POS systems, particularly Micros POS or similar platforms
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and guest satisfaction
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to perform basic math for cashiering and billing purposes
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Previous restaurant or food industry experience is preferred but not required; a willingness to learn is essential
- Effective communication skills for serving guests and collaborating with team members
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance the guest experience
- Kitchen experience or food preparation skills are a plus but not mandatory
