Overview
We are seeking a friendly and motivated Retail Sales Associate to join our team. This role involves engaging with customers, providing exceptional service, and assisting with product merchandising across our retail locations. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a passion for retail sales, and knowledge of gardening, horticulture, or landscape maintenance is a plus. Multilingual abilities are highly valued to better serve our diverse customer base. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs
- Operate POS systems efficiently for sales transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties
- Maintain attractive product displays through merchandising and organization skills
- Provide expert advice on gardening, horticulture, and landscape maintenance products when applicable
- Support e-commerce initiatives by assisting customers with online orders or inquiries
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and stock areas
- Handle customer inquiries professionally, addressing questions about products or services
- Assist with inventory management and stock replenishment as needed
- Promote store promotions and special offers to enhance sales opportunities
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service is preferred
- Knowledge of POS systems, cash handling, and merchandising techniques
- Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus
- Familiarity with gardening, horticulture, landscape maintenance, or related fields is advantageous
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when required
