Job Summary
Athol Murray College of Notre Dame, is seeking a full time Groundskeeper.
Located just 30 minutes south of Regina, the campus facilities at Notre Dame College include academic buildings, Boarding facilities, Olympic size ice arena, Gymnasium, Off ice skills facility, Maier Performance Training Centre, Dining hall, Laundry facility, and a Health Care clinic.
The Groundskeeper is responsible for the landscaping, lawn care, and seasonal snow removal of the campus grounds. Depending on the season, Main duties include cutting and maintaining the healthy growth of plants and grass, and ensuring all pathways and entryways remain safe and clear of ice and snow. The ideal candidate will keep the grounds and sports fields clean, debris-free, and well-manicured while maintaining a safe work environment.
Duties
- Keep equipment clean and well maintained
- Mow and maintain neat and manicured greenspaces
- Using and maintaining landscaping equipment such as mowers, clippers, and blowers, among others
- Spray weed killer and fertilizer
- Maintain and line sports fields
- Install dirt and plant grass seed as needed
- Power wash and sweep pathways, lots and entries
- Maintain an overall tidy campus
- Working outside in varying weather conditions
- Other Operational Duties may be assigned as required to support the team
Skills
- Highly motivated and able to work independently. Exhibit initiative, responsibility, and flexibility
- Strong communicating skills
- Equipment Operation experience
- Mechanical knowledge
- Ability to multi-task and establish priorities
- Valid drivers licence and transportation
Pay rate based on experience. 22 to 25 per hour
