Processing Technician – Cannabis Operations

Verte West Industries Ltd. is seeking an experienced Processing Technician to assist with post-harvest operations, including packaging, shipping, inventory management, sanitization, and compliance activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail, a willingness to learn and adapt, and have a solid understanding of Health Canada Cannabis Regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Cannabis processing, packaging, labelling, and palletizing activities
- Assist with monitoring product quality, consistency, and moisture control standards
- Maintain accurate cannabis inventory records and ensure all cultivation and processing records comply with Health Canada Cannabis Regulations, GACP, and company SOPs
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of production, processing, cultivation, storage, gowning, and office areas
- Track and manage packaging, shipping, office, and production supplies
- Collaborate with cultivation and production teams to assist with plant maintenance, harvesting, trimming, and other duties as they are required
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and productive work environment
Qualifications & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in business, agriculture, or manufacturing management preferred
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in the cannabis industry, cannabis processing, post-harvest operations, or a related manufacturing/production environment
- Strong communication, organization, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Proven reliability and dependability
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks requiring manual dexterity and attention to detail
- Must be at least 19 years of age and have reliable transportation to/from the workplace.
Pay: $26.00-$30.00 per hour
