Swift Creek Resort is a small, quiet campground and cabin resort in Valemount, BC, surrounded by mountains, forest, and outdoor travellers.
We are looking for a reliable live-on-site Campground Host / Workamper to help keep the property welcoming, clean, safe, and well cared for. This is a good fit for someone who enjoys RV life, nature, guest service, and practical hands-on work.
Our property includes 3 cabins, 1 trailer house, 22 RV sites, public washrooms, showers, and guest service areas.
This is a part-time seasonal role. Paid trial / training is expected in mid-August 2026. The independent on-site role begins in late August 2026. Interviews may be available in Vancouver on July 9–10, or in Valemount after July 12.
A full-service RV site is included. Additional paid work may be available for cleaning, maintenance, repairs, emergency call-outs, or special projects. Own RV is strongly preferred. A possible winter caretaker arrangement may be discussed after a successful fall season.
Main duties include:
- Helping guests with basic on-site questions, directions, and check-in support
- Daily campground checks
- Checking RV sites, cabins, trailer house, washrooms, showers, garbage areas, roads, and common areas
- Helping arrange cleaning for cabins, the trailer house, public washrooms, showers, and guest areas
- Helping coordinate repair technicians, contractors, propane refills, garbage service, and supplies when needed
- Light maintenance and basic handyman tasks
- Clear communication with the owner by phone, text, and photos
- Helping monitor quiet hours, campground rules, fire rules, wildlife safety, and general property care
This is not a full resort manager position. Major repairs, serious guest disputes, refunds, pricing decisions, and business decisions remain with the owner unless otherwise agreed.

- Reliable, honest, calm, and practical
- Comfortable living on-site
- Friendly with guests
- Able to work independently
- Comfortable with basic maintenance and outdoor work
- Able to use a phone to send photos, updates, and messages
- Able to follow checklists and campground procedures
- Respectful of guests, neighbours, property, and campground rules
Requirements:
- Legal ability to work in Canada
- English required for guest service
- Mandarin is an asset for communication with ownership
- Own RV strongly preferred
- Valid driver’s licence preferred
- Basic maintenance, handyman, campground, RV park, hospitality, property care, or customer service experience is an asset
