Arena Operator / Laborer

Kinsmen Twin Arenas is looking for a reliable, hands-on team member to help keep our busy facility running smoothly. This dual-role position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in quality work, and values being part of a team that supports local hockey, figure skating, and other community programs.
What You’ll Do
- Provide friendly, professional customer service as a primary contact for arena users.
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming facility, including dressing rooms, common areas, offices, and washrooms.
- Support ice maintenance and arena operations, including floods, setup, takedown, and daily facility duties.
- Operate and maintain cleaning, groundskeeping, and ice related equipment.
- Assist with routine repairs, light maintenance, and minor trades work as needed.
- Help with exterior upkeep, including snow removal, lawn care, and general property maintenance.
- Monitor the facility for safety concerns and report issues as required.
- Work closely with other staff to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

- Ability to learn new tasks, operate equipment, and follow established procedures.
- Experience in facility maintenance, arena operations, or general labor is an asset, but not required.
- ARFP Certification(s) or equivalent are considered a strong asset

Important Notes
This role is scheduled based on building needs and staff availability. Team members may be assigned either Laborer or Operator duties during a shift, depending on operational requirements.

- This position require several weeks of training. Due to our busy schedule, training hours will vary in length and time of day in order to complete the program during the probationary period (90 days). Will you commit to additional hours during training to ensure completion?
