JUNIOR INSTALLER
JOB SUMMARY
The Junior Installer assists and works alongside the Senior Installer at various residential and commercial sites installing shelving or glass products: building wood or wire closets, installing shower doors, mirrors, and other products in new home construction. This role is responsible for loading/unloading and cleaning of product and ensuring that the product is installed to a high quality and customer service standard resulting in minimal service issues.
Given the nature of this position, hours may fluctuate from day to day, week to week. Some Saturday work may be requested as needed from time to time.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES

Follow and obey all safety rules

Complete booked installation demands in a time-sensitive environment

Safe handling and transport of product

Clean, accurate, and efficient installation of products

Install basics while senior installer works on more complex aspects of the job

Helps to measure sites for future product installation

Minimize service issues

Assist with service and warranty work on past installs

Complete paperwork

Out of town work from time to time

Keeps vehicle clean

Must own steel-toed boots

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS

Class 5 Driver's License (Clean abstract, non-GDL preferred)

Emergency First Aid Training (can be trained on the job)

CSTS (can be trained on the job)

WHMIS (trained on the job)
BENEFICIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Previous installation or construction experience

Basic hand tool experience, including use of a tape measure

Desire to learn new tasks

Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision or guidance

An eye for quality and detail
PHYSICAL CHALLENGES

Must have the ability to lift and carry 50 lbs (80-100lbs for 10mm glass installers)

Must be able to lift and carry large products into homes or buildings.

Must be able to bend forward while carrying the weight
