Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Grass Cutting Technician to join our Commercial Division.
This role involves maintaining and enhancing the appearance of commercial landscapes through precise grass cutting, edging, and related landscape maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in horticulture, gardening, and landscape upkeep, with the ability to operate various mechanical and power tools efficiently. This position offers an opportunity to work outdoors in a dynamic environment while also being a part of Sudbury's fastest growing property maintenance company. Must be physically fit and capable of working on foot for the duration of your shifts.
Duties
- Operate lawn mowers, trimmers, edgers, and other landscaping equipment to maintain grass and shrubbery at commercial sites and cemeteries
- Perform landscaping tasks including planting, pruning, and general gardening duties as needed
- Maintain equipment through routine cleaning and mechanical checks to ensure optimal performance
- Conduct regular inspections of landscape areas to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards and properly report to the designated supervisor(s)
- Collaborate with team members to complete sites efficiently and ensure quality of work completed is up to company standard
Requirements
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, or horticulture preferred
- Mechanical knowledge related to landscaping equipment and power tools
- Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Strong understanding of landscape construction and general maintenance practices
- Physical stamina to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions; ability to lift heavy equipment or materials as needed
- Valid driver’s license preferred
- Prior experience with landscaping and property maintenance is an advantage as preference will be given to experienced applicants firstly

Pay: $17.39-$23.00 per hour
