About the Role
Trican Masonry Contractors is seeking a Junior Project Manager to join our growing team. This position is ideal for an experienced Project Coordinator who is ready to take the next step in their career and assume greater ownership of projects.
Working closely with our Director of Operations and Field Supervisors, you will be responsible for coordinating project administration, client communication, change orders, procurement planning, billing support, and overall project coordination from award through closeout.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys building relationships, solving problems, following up on outstanding items, and ensuring that nothing falls through the cracks.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage project administration from contract award through closeout.
- Coordinate project startup activities, documentation, and contract requirements.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, suppliers, and construction managers.
- Act as a primary office contact for assigned projects.
- Track and manage change orders, extras, site instructions, and customer approvals.
- Coordinate pricing requests with operations and estimating teams.
- Maintain project correspondence, documentation, and action item logs.
- Follow up on outstanding project issues and drive them through to resolution.
- Coordinate material pre-orders and monitor supplier lead times.
- Support project billings by gathering required documentation and tracking approved changes.
- Assist with project closeout, deficiencies, warranty items, and final documentation.
- Work closely with field supervisors to ensure the office and field teams remain aligned.
- Identify risks, opportunities, and issues requiring management attention.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of construction project coordination, project administration, or assistant project management experience.
- Experience working for a general contractor or trade contractor.
- Strong understanding of construction documentation, change orders, project coordination, and customer communication.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365.
- Experience with Procore or similar construction management software is considered an asset.

Pay: $70,000.00 per year
