Job Description: Senior Execution Manager
Mandate:
Reporting to the Director, you will be responsible for the end-to-end success of all program executions across retail, merchandising, special events, and general XM staffing. Overseeing a team of Field Execution Coordinators, you will ensure client projects are delivered flawlessly, on time, on budget, and aligned with brand standards. Day-to-day, you will manage people, logistics, and timelines, collaborating closely with internal teams and external partners (clients, retailers, and field representatives). As a hands-on leader, you will oversee on-site activations, troubleshoot issues in real time, and drive internal process improvements. This role requires a strategic thinker who can mentor junior team members and maintain honest, authentic, and human-centered communication with both colleagues and various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Campaign Oversight: Oversee the long-term planning, success, and deployment of retail (sampling/merchandising) and special execution/event activations, maintaining total accountability for a team of Field Execution Coordinators and Regional Supervisors.
- Process Creation & Innovation: Drive internal process optimization and new organizational structures, balancing a highly structured approach with the ability to think outside the box and challenge the status quo.
- Team Leadership & Coaching: Ensure all field activities are flawlessly managed and executed, coaching the coordination team to consistently improve results across a wide portfolio of clients.
- Field Training & Quality Control: Develops field training materials to equip execution teams with product knowledge and activation standards required for flawless on-site performance, occasionally leading training sessions for special events or high-profile tastings.
- On-Site Management & Representation: Conduct on-site client meetings, event setups, and secret shops for quality control. Embody the Embr Events brand to all clients by remaining honest, authentic, and service-oriented.
- Reporting, Data Analysis & ROI Tracking: Oversee the client-approval process for all national retail sampling reports. Analyze weekly retail sales figures and implement market-specific growth strategies. Also support on end-of-period/month reports and conversion/sales analysis to deliver measurable ROI.
- Account Management Collaboration: Have a thorough understanding of each brand's needs and be comfortable working directly with clients on staffing and merchandising programs.
- HR & Culture Initiatives: Support HR initiatives including the recruitment, interviewing, hiring, training, and onboarding of new contract workers (Supervisors/BAs), while actively contributing to company culture, employee wellness, and morale to keep Embr an employer of choice.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of industry experience (at an XM agency or in marketing/people management) alongside post-secondary education in marketing, business, communications, events, or a related field.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills (professional proficiency) in both English and French, with the ability to confidently engage with bilingual stakeholders
- Familiarity working with Microsoft Office and the ability to adapt to and perform tasks across various software systems with ease.
- Demonstrated experience in experiential or marketing campaigns, covering end-to-end planning, logistics coordination, and on-site execution.
- Client-service oriented with a proven ability to build strong, productive working relationships and manage expectations in a transparent, solutions-oriented manner.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal English).
- An expert multi-tasker with a strong work ethic, meticulous attention to detail, and a proactive mentality to organize, prioritize, follow up, and manage work against tight project timelines.
- Highly resourceful with the ability to troubleshoot, handle high-stress situations, and respond quickly to resolve operational challenges on the ground.
- Proven team leadership abilities, including mentoring, performance oversight, and fostering a collaborative, respectful work environment across diverse, cross-functional teams.
- Comfortable with hybrid work model, effective time management, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Possess an entrepreneurial spirit, growth mindset, and a strong sense of ownership.
- Prior experience with in-field work as a brand ambassador or team lead is an asset; specifically experience with beverage alcohol programs and familiarity with the LCBO tasting program and regulations.

Expectations:
- Full time job status: 37.5 hours
- Currently a hybrid work solution; 3 days at our office in Liberty Village, 2 days work remotely
- Evening and weekend work is required in this role with lieu time provided; This job often requires working on Saturdays, with Wednesday as the fixed weekly lieu day; 1 full weekend a month will be completely off
- Some travel may also be required
