Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Server/Bartender to join our dynamic hospitality team in a beautiful heliski/flyfishing lodge setting. The ideal candidate will have experience with fine dining, and be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, preparing and serving beverages, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience. This role requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Previous restaurant experience and familiarity with POS systems are highly valued to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
Lodging and meals included.
Positions available on a 6 week and/or 5 month basis during conclusion of heliski season, and start of flyfishing season.
Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
- Use POS systems such as Micros POS for order entry.
- Greet guests promptly and provide attentive service throughout their visit.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and supplies.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and food handling standards at all times.
- Monitor guest behavior to promote responsible alcohol service in accordance with legal requirements.
- Restock bar supplies as needed during shifts to ensure efficient service.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver a seamless food service experience when applicable.
Experience
- Previous restaurant or food industry in fine dining experience preferred, especially in bartending or serving roles.
- Familiarity with Micros POS or similar point-of-sale systems is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods effectively.
- Outstanding customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests.
- Basic math skills necessary for cashiering, cash handling, and accurate order processing.
- Experience in hospitality environments that require multitasking and quick thinking under pressure is highly desirable.
