Overview
We are seeking a friendly, professional Shuttle Driver/Houseman to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a welcoming environment. This role requires strong communication skills, multitasking abilities, and a passion for hospitality. Bilingual or multilingual skills are highly valued to assist diverse guest needs and enhance guest experiences. This position includes keeping the hotel lobby clean and well maintained, and other assigned duties as noted below. The Shuttle Driver/Houseman plays a vital role in maintaining a clean and professional environment for our guests.
Responsibilities:
- Transport guests via company vehicle to pre determined locations and then back to the hotel in a safe and professional manner.
- Maintain a clean and well presented company vehicle at all times.
- Perform other assigned duties within the hotel, when not operating the shuttle, including cleaning the lobby and the maintaining cleanliness of the exterior of the hotel.
- Assist with sidewalk snow removal during the winter months, and power washing the front entrance area during the summer months.
- Manage guest inquiries, requests, and complaints with professionalism and courtesy
- Provide information about hotel amenities, local attractions, and services to enhance guest experience
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure that the guest facing areas of the hotel are kept in a clean and well maintained manner
- Utilize excellent phone etiquette when communicating with guests over the phone or in person
- Previous experience in hotel front desk operations or customer service roles is preferred but not required
- A valid class 5 Saskatchewan drivers license is requited, along with a clean drivers report from SGI.
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve a diverse clientele effectively
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on phone etiquette and guest interactions
- Previous driver or shuttle service provider is a definite asset
- Experience in hospitality or guest services roles is an advantage but training will be provided for qualified candidates who demonstrate enthusiasm for the industry
- Other assigned tasks as directed by hotel management.
