Your Opportunity:
The Royal Alexandra Hospital Emergency Department is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join a multidisciplinary team in one of Western Canada's busiest tertiary care emergency departments. This role offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive, evidence-informed care to a diverse patient population with complex medical, surgical, and psychosocial needs. Practicing to full scope, the Nurse Practitioner will independently assess, diagnose, treat, and manage patients within a fast-paced emergency setting while collaborating closely with physicians, nursing staff, and allied health professionals. Success in this role requires advanced clinical assessment skills, sound diagnostic reasoning, and the ability to prioritize and manage competing clinical demands. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in emergency and/or acute care, demonstrates clinical leadership, and is comfortable practicing autonomously within a high-acuity environment. Strong communication and interprofessional collaboration skills are essential to ensuring safe, efficient, and patient-centered care. This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to the ongoing integration of Nurse Practitioners in emergency medicine and to advance the delivery of high-quality emergency care in Alberta.
