Sinai Health is looking for a Systems Analyst II to support our Digital Health department.
The Systems Analyst II is a senior analyst position within the Application Support team in the Digital Health department. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Application Support and Cybersecurity Operations, this position works collaboratively and cohesively in a dynamic, fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment with a diverse group of professionals from Information Services and Clinical Informatics. The System Analyst II will support the Manager to operationalize clinical and back office system initiatives across the organization. The successful incumbent will coach and mentor junior analysts to further enhance and develop their existing knowledge base, skill sets and competencies in providing excellence and effectiveness.
In this role you will:
- Support the Manager and meet with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define system requirements and goals, identify and resolve business systems issues, evaluate and analyze requests for system improvements, and determine feasibility of system changes
- Provide thoughtful recommendations to ensure successful implementation of new solutions, enhancements to existing solutions, version upgrades and improvements
- Advise on technology solutions/options and provide recommendations and assistance to project teams and Information Services team members
- Develop and/or maintain working relationships and partnerships with technology and solution vendors
- Manage tasks and participate in activities involved in implementing new project and operational initiatives and software and/or hardware upgrades:
- Technical implementation and associated documentation
- Availability of test environments and development of technical test scenarios,
- Oversight for vendor activities,
- Change management activities,
- Creation of solution and support documentation (operational guides, helpdesk scripts)
- Provide administrator-level tasks for corporate tools and applications including but not limited to installations, upgrades, incidents, issues, action items, risks, queries and change management for the solutions in scope
- Troubleshoot technical problems and conduct analyses for efficient technical solutions that support clinical processes, functional and technical requirements
- Develop, document, and maintain policies, procedures and associated training plans for system administration and appropriate use
- Participate and share in 24/7 on-call rotation with other members of the application services team during business and non-business hours
- Perform other duties consistent with the job classification as required
