Eldale Machine & Tool Ltd. was founded in 1976 to manufacture hubs and spindles for agricultural original equipment manufacturers (OEM). The product line includes hubs and spindles from 1,000 lbs to 40,000 lbs capacity as well as custom machined parts. Uses include small utility trailers, farm wagons, manure handling equipment, grain carts, forestry and mining equipment as well as sod and turf grass applications.
Your Opportunity!
Eldale Machine & Tool Ltd. is recruiting for a Permanent Full-Time CNC Machine Operator to join our manufacturing facility in Elmira (relocating to Listowel in mid-2027). In this role, you will be responsible for running and maintaining CNC machines, ensuring parts are produced in accordance with quality standards, and machines are well-maintained for optimal performance.
Key Responsibilities and Skills:
- Understand and interpret basic CNC programs to effectively operate CNC machinery
- Use measuring instruments to accurately measure parts and ensure they meet required specifications
- Perform regular maintenance tasks, such as lubricating machines and inspecting parts for wear and tear
- Ensure parts are produced at the required volumes by efficiently operating CNC machines
- Accurately fill out job cards, record work progress, and update packing labels to ensure all documentation is correct
- Ensure that all safety precautions and procedures are followed and work within the guidelines and rules of the plant
- Other related duties, as assigned
Job Requirements:
- 1-2 years of experience working as a CNC Machine Operator is preferred
- Previous knowledge of CNC machine programs and controls
- Proficient in the use of various mechanical digital instruments (i.e. micrometer, caliper, etc.) in the imperial measurement system
- Excellent knowledge of hand tools and assembly processes
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with other colleagues
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Knowledge and experience of health and safety practices
