Position Summary
OMNI Food Equipment Inc. is seeking an experienced Outbound Business Development / Sales Representative to identify new business opportunities, develop long-term customer relationships, and drive revenue growth across Ontario. This is a proactive sales role focused on generating new outbound sales channels while serving as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the sales process and beyond.
The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of the commercial foodservice equipment industry and have a proven track record of developing new business through prospecting, relationship building, and consultative sales.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute outbound sales strategies to generate new business opportunities.
- Identify, prospect, and secure new customers, including restaurants, cafés, hotels, institutions, commissary kitchens, food manufacturers, dealers, and franchise groups.
- Establish and expand new sales channels through strategic partnerships, dealer relationships, and referral networks.
- Manage the complete sales cycle from initial contact through quotation, negotiation, closing, delivery, and post-sale follow-up.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, providing exceptional service and ongoing account management.
- Prepare and present equipment recommendations and quotations tailored to customer needs and budgets.
- Maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities and consistently achieve or exceed sales targets.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with new and existing customers to encourage repeat business.
- Collaborate with internal departments, including operations, logistics, service, and purchasing, to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Attend trade shows, networking events, and customer meetings as required.
- Maintain accurate customer records, sales activities, and forecasts within the Company's CRM system.
- Remain knowledgeable regarding industry trends, competitor offerings, and new product developments.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of direct experience selling commercial foodservice equipment.
- Demonstrated success in outbound business development and sales.
- Strong knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment, refrigeration, food preparation equipment, coffee/espresso equipment, or related products.
- Existing network within the Canadian foodservice or hospitality industry.
- Experience working with dealers, distributors, consultants, or franchise organizations.
- Experience preparing equipment quotations and commercial kitchen solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to build relationships with business owners, purchasing managers, consultants, and institutional clients.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software.
- Valid Ontario Class G driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
Compensation & Benefits (~$100,000.00 + commission)
