The role
- Full-cycle accounting across multiple related entities, including intercompany and consolidation
- Monthly billing cycle from dispatch and scale ticket data through to invoicing and collections
- Month-end close: reconciliations, accruals, journal entries, financial statements
- AR/AP management and collections follow-up
- HST/QST filings; CRA and Revenu Québec compliance
- Payroll for Ontario and Quebec staff, including WSIB, CNESST, T4/RL-1
- Fleet cost accounting — lease schedules, fuel, maintenance, per-unit profitability
- Year-end working papers for external accountants
- Cash flow forecasting and margin reporting for ownership
What you bring
Required
- 7+ years of progressive, full-cycle accounting experience
- Direct experience in transportation, trucking, logistics is essential
- Strong QuickBooks Desktop skills
- Advanced Excel and comfort with large transactional data sets
- Multi-entity accounting experience
- Solid Canadian payroll and HST knowledge
- Able to work independently and hit month-end deadlines without supervision
Assets
- CPA designation or in progress
- Quebec compliance (QST, CNESST, RL-1)
- Dispatch software
Pay: From $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 44 per week
