Hours Tuesday– Thursday (24-28 hours/week)
About the Position

Miles in Bloom Garden Services is looking to hire an individual from spring to fall to help care for and maintain beautiful residential gardens in the Wasaga Beach and surrounding areas. The ideal candidate will have a passion for plants, enjoys physical and outdoor work, appreciates nature and takes pride in their detailed oriented work. The role involves ensuring that all areas are healthy, attractive, and well-maintained.
What You’ll Do
- Garden maintenance (weeding, deadheading, transplanting, cultivating and raking flower beds)
- Pruning shrubs and small trees to maintain healthy growth
- Edging garden beds with edger and line trimmer
- Soil preparation, soil amendments and mulch installation
- Aiding in the layout and installation of new plantings
- Keeping job sites tidy and organized
- Working as part of a small, supportive team outdoors in all weather
- Safely operating tools (such as blower and line trimmer) and maintaining tools and equipment in clean and working order
- Reporting any issues with equipment or properties
What We’re Looking For
- Posses a passion for gardening, physical work, and working outdoors with nature.
- Physically fit and able to work in all weather. Able to lift, bend, walk long periods and carry up to 40lbs
- Knowledge of horticulture, plant care and maintenance an asset
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Possess a great eye for detail
- Comfortable using basic landscaping tools and equipment
- Good communication skills and a professional and friendly attitude with customers
- Familiarity with power tools such as blowers and line trimmers is advantageous
- Positive attitude and a willingness to learn and follow direction
