Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various painting disciplines, including residential, commercial, restoration, and industrial painting. This role involves preparing surfaces, applying coatings, and ensuring high-quality finishes on a variety of projects. The Painter will work closely with project managers and clients to deliver exceptional results while adhering to safety standards and project timelines.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and priming to ensure proper adhesion of paint or coatings
- Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using hand tools and power tools with precision and attention to detail
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to determine project specifications
- Utilize rigging techniques for elevated or hard-to-reach areas safely and efficiently
- Perform restoration work on damaged or aged surfaces to restore them to their original condition
- Operate various equipment including scaffolding, ladders, and industrial painting tools as required
- Maintain a clean work environment by properly storing tools and disposing of waste materials
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients to ensure project requirements are met on time
Experience
- Proven experience in construction painting, residential painting, commercial painting, or industrial painting environments
- Knowledge of blueprint reading and schematics for accurate project execution
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, caulking guns, and carpentry basics related to surface preparation
- Familiarity with rigging techniques for working at heights or in confined spaces
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients and team members
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple projects efficiently
- Experience in restoration projects is a plus but not required
