Cretescape Concrete Inc. is seeking an experienced Decorative Concrete Finisher to join our growing team specializing in high-end residential concrete construction throughout Southwestern Ontario.
This position is intended for skilled finishers with hands-on experience in decorative and architectural residential flatwork. Applicants whose experience is primarily limited to commercial, industrial, roadway, or high-rise concrete projects may not be suitable for this role.
Responsibilities
-Finish and detail high-end residential concrete surfaces including patios, pool decks, walkways, driveways, steps, and custom outdoor living spaces in a variety of decretive finishes
-Perform broom, exposed aggregate, stamped, coloured, limestone and other decorative concrete finishes
-Assist with concrete placement, screeding, edging, jointing, and final finishing
-Can operate a concrete saw and cut straight lines
-Set, install, and strip concrete forms
-Apply sealers and finishing products
-Place and expose decorative aggregates
-Assist with site preparation, grading, cleanup, and general concrete labour as required
-Maintain quality workmanship and attention to detail throughout all phases of the project
-Work safely and efficiently in a team environment
Requirements
-Minimum 2–3 years of experience in residential decorative concrete flatwork
-Proven experience producing high-quality decorative finishes
-Ability to identify and execute various finishing techniques including stamped, exposed aggregate, broom, and architectural finishes
-Must be able to provide photos/examples of previous work or demonstrate practical knowledge during the interview process
-Strong understanding of concrete placement, finishing, curing, and sealing procedures
-Physically capable of lifting heavy materials and performing demanding outdoor work
-Willingness to work extended hours during peak construction season
-Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
-Strong work ethic and commitment to quality craftsmanship
--Valid driver's licence and insurable drivers record (for company fleet insurance policy)
Assets
-Experience with custom forming and decorative concrete features
-Experience operating construction equipment and power tools
-Z licence an asset
