Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and responsible School Bus Driver to ensure the safe and timely transportation of students to and from school and related activities. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong sense of responsibility, and a passion for working with children. Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses along designated routes, adhering to traffic laws and safety protocols
- Ensure the safety and well-being of students during transit, including supervising behavior when necessary
- Assist students boarding and disembarking the bus, providing support for those with special needs or senior care requirements
- Maintain cleanliness and basic mechanical checks of the bus before and after routes
- Communicate effectively with school staff, parents, and students regarding schedules or concerns
- Complete required documentation such as route logs, incident reports, and maintenance reports accurately
- Follow all federal, state, and local transportation regulations and company policies
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with passenger endorsement preferred
- Prior experience working with children or in educational settings is a plus
- Multilingual abilities are desirable; fluency in Spanish and English is preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic troubleshooting or maintenance checks on the bus
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with students, parents, and school staff
- Ability to demonstrate responsibility, patience, and professionalism in all interactions
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to transportation of children and seniors is advantageous
- Must pass background checks and drug screening as required by law

Pay: $25.00-$26.66 per hour
