Pharmasave in Kelowna is actively looking for a positive and enthusiastic Pharmacist to join our great pharmacy team. We are looking for both part-time, full-time, and weekend pharmacists
The Pharmacist is responsible for providing safe, effective, and appropriate drug therapy and actively contributes to an environment of employee and customer engagement. The Pharmacist will play a key role in achieving departmental excellence in the areas of patient focused care, customer service and workflow efficiencies.
Pharmacist Responsibilities:
· Focus on clinical services (i.e., medication reviews, vaccinations, Minor Ailments)
· Initiate care plans, follow up and document
· Administer vaccines
· Determine appropriateness of drug therapy
· Monitor medication adherence
· Collect and document relevant patient, drug, and disease information
· Communicate well with other healthcare professionals
· Recommend OTC products and vitamins
· Answer clinical questions from patients
Technical Skills:
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to critically think and problem solve
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
· Self-directed and able to work independently
· Work well in a team environment
Education and Experience:
· Licensed to practice and in good standing with the College of Pharmacists of BC
· Kroll experience is an asset
· Injection certification is a asset
· OAT experience is an asset
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $65.00 per hour
