This position is responsible for driving sales growth, expanding product distribution, and strengthening customer relationships within an assigned territory for Queen City Distillers. The Territory Manager develops new business opportunities while managing existing customer accounts across retail and hospitality channels. This role serves as the primary representative of the company, executing sales strategies, promotional initiatives, merchandising standards, product education, and customer support to increase brand awareness and market share.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development
- Develop and execute territory sales strategies to increase revenue, product distribution, market share, and account growth.
- Manage and strengthen relationships with retail liquor stores, restaurants, bars, hotels, event venues, and other licensed customers to drive long-term business partnerships.
- Identify, prospect, and secure new customer accounts to expand Queen City Distillers' distribution network and market presence.
- Conduct product presentations and negotiate product listings, promotional opportunities, menu placements, and display programs to maximize sales opportunities.
Account Management & Customer Support
- Maintain regular customer contact to review inventory levels, sales performance, merchandising opportunities, and future product requirements.
- Provide responsive customer service by resolving inquiries, coordinating orders, and addressing service concerns promptly and professionally.
- Analyze customer sales performance and recommend strategies to improve product movement, visibility, and profitability.
Brand Promotion & Merchandising
- Coordinate and execute tastings, promotional campaigns, product launches, and community events to increase brand awareness and consumer engagement.
- Maintain attractive product displays, point-of-sale materials, shelf placement, pricing accuracy, and merchandising standards to enhance product visibility.
- Deliver product knowledge training to retail staff, hospitality employees, and purchasing teams to increase product awareness and sales confidence.
Order Management & Delivery
- Coordinate customer orders with internal production, warehouse, and administrative teams to ensure accurate and timely fulfillment.
- Deliver products safely and professionally when required while maintaining compliance with all transportation and beverage alcohol regulations.
- Verify deliveries, complete required documentation, and promptly report discrepancies, returns, or customer concerns.
Reporting & Administration
- Maintain accurate records of customer activity, sales opportunities, promotional commitments, and account information to support effective territory management.
- Prepare sales reports, expense submissions, and market intelligence updates to support business planning and performance measurement.
- Represent Queen City Distillers professionally at customer meetings, industry events, festivals, and trade functions while promoting the company's brand and values.

Required Skills
- Diploma or post-secondary education in Business, Marketing, Sales, Hospitality, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in territory sales, account management, beverage alcohol, hospitality, retail, distribution, or a related industry.
- Proven experience developing new business opportunities and managing customer relationships.
- Strong sales, negotiation, communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize competing demands, and effectively manage an assigned territory.
- Experience delivering product presentations, staff training, tastings, or promotional events is considered an asset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, email, spreadsheets, CRM systems, and other business software.
- Valid Driver's licence with a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to travel extensively throughout the assigned territory and work occasional evenings and weekends as business needs require.
- Ability to safely lift, carry, load, and unload beverage alcohol products.
- Must meet all legal and regulatory requirements for the sale, handling, transportation, and promotion of beverage alcohol.
