Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our healthcare team. MUST HAVE KROLL EXPERIENCE. The ideal candidate will support pharmacists in dispensing medications, managing patient interactions, and maintaining pharmacy operations. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced medical environment, contributing to patient care and medication safety. Prior experience in hospital settings or as a pharmacy technician is highly valued, along with strong knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration procedures.
Duties
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescription medications accurately and efficiently
- Manage inventory by stocking shelves, checking expiration dates, and ordering supplies as needed
- Provide excellent patient care by answering questions and offering guidance under pharmacist supervision
- Maintain detailed records of medication dispensation and patient interactions in accordance with legal and safety standards
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy area to promote a safe working environment
- Support administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and processing insurance claims when necessary
- Follow all safety protocols related to medication handling and patient confidentiality
Requirements
- Previous pharmacy assistant experience is preferred
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and medication administration procedures
- Excellent communication skills with a compassionate approach to patient care
- Ability to work accurately under pressure in a busy healthcare setting
- Attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Certification or training in pharmacy assistance or related healthcare fields is a plus
- Ability to pass background checks and adhere to all safety and confidentiality policies
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
