About our Junior Stone Fabricator
We are seeking a skilled Junior Stone Fabricator to join our team. As a Stone Fabricator, you will play a key role in creating high-quality, visually appealing natural stone products. You will help our team in fabricating, polishing, and grinding natural stone, transforming raw materials into finished pieces that meet our customers' expectations. You will work with various types of natural stone, including granite, marble, and quartz, to fabricate countertops, fireplaces, and custom pieces. Precision, accuracy, and adherence to quality standards are paramount in this role.
Job Purpose
Your primary purpose is to fabricate and build natural stone products according to shop drawings, ensuring precision, accuracy, and adherence to quality standards. Additionally, your role involves collaborating with team members to meet daily production goals.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the fabrication of natural stone custom pieces.
- Shape, cut, and assemble stone materials accurately.
- Polish and grind to enhance the appearance and quality of the fabricated stone pieces.
- Ensure smooth edges, consistent finishes, and desired texture on the stone surfaces.
- Inspect pieces to make sure they are in conformity with project requirements and SSC's quality standard.
- Follow daily production goals.
- Work on repairs for natural stone parts.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring proper storage of tools, equipment, and materials.
- Promote a safe and efficient work environment for yourself and others.
- Maintain record keeping for daily tasks.
What we are looking for
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and machinery is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand shop drawings.
- Basic math and measurement skills.
