DKI - Halifax is looking for a Water Restoration Technician to join our team!
Duties/Qualifications:
- Must have knowledge and experience in property damage restoration.
- Effectively communicate and work with Project Managers and Office Staff.
- Customer service experience/professionalism.
- Clear and effective communication skills including written and electronic documentation.
- Emergency water mitigation tasks including removal of wet building materials such as flooring, drywall, trims and finishes.
- Removal and disposal of debris from job sites.
- Water extraction.
- Moisture Readings and documentation including floor plan sketching.
- Delivery, set up, monitoring and take down of various equipment.
- Perform temporary repairs including board-ups to secure/mitigate residential and commercial structures impacted by wind, fire, floods and other various property damages.
- Demonstrates leadership skills, ability to teach, learn and grow as a part of a team.
- Experienced operating power tools.
- Perform general labor tasks.
- Can adhere to company policies, procedures & safe work practices.
- Must have the ability to wear a respirator and other PPE in order to assist with various types of remediation including mold and other hazardous materials.
- Maintain company vehicle and fill out paperwork accordingly.
- Willing to participate in an on-call rotation for after hours emergency services.
- Willing to work as part of a team on a wide variety of tasks including structural cleaning and content handling.
- Organizational skills.
- Ability to multi-task, problem solve and have self-motivational skills.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- First Aid.
- WHMIS.
- Clean criminal background.
- Rebuild/construction experience is an asset.
Compensation:
The position offers competitive wages, benefits package and more. Compensation is based on experience, certifications, knowledge and skill set.

Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
