Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assist in food prep to ensure timely delivery of dishes during service
- Cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards, maintaining consistency and presentation
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and hygiene practices
- Support the kitchen team by organizing workstations, cleaning utensils, and maintaining sanitation standards
- Assist with plating dishes and ensuring each plate meets visual and quality expectations before serving
- Collaborate with serving staff to ensure smooth coordination between kitchen and front-of-house operations
- Follow all food safety regulations and restaurant policies to uphold cleanliness and safety standards
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service within a restaurant or food industry setting
- Strong knowledge of food handling procedures, safety protocols, and sanitation standards
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers
- Familiarity with meal preparation techniques, kitchen equipment, and basic cooking methods
- Prior experience in serving or assisting in customer-facing roles is a plus but not required
