Overview
We are seeking a skilled and energetic Shop Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. Responsibilities
- Perform detailed inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy equipment such as semi trucks, flat bed trailers.
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, filter replacements, and system checks to prevent breakdowns.
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues accurately.
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely to disassemble, repair, or assemble machinery components.
- Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and maintenance logs for all repairs performed.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and industry regulations to promote a safe working environment.
- Mostly common repairs associated with trailers on daily basis.
Skills
- Proven experience working as a mechanic.
- Hands-on experience with semi trucks, trailers.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams accurately.
- Skilled electrical troubleshooting, and the use of power tools and hand tools.
- Physical ability for heavy lifting and operating heavy equipment safely over extended periods.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Customer service orientation with clear communication skills to explain repairs and maintenance procedures effectively.
