Our Finance headquarters is located in Winnipeg, Canada where the accounting function is performed centrally for our facilities in North America, Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia. Generating over $3.0 billion in sales, the successful candidate will be exposed to accounting and operations on a global scale and build the unique knowledge and expertise of one of the world’s largest independent maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) providers.

What you’ll do:
Ensure all financial reporting complies with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and reporting requirements.
Examining and analyzing accounting and financial records, documents, and systems to ensure accuracy and compliance with established accounting standards, procedures and internal controls.
Lead or participate in the audit preparation process by working with internal stakeholders for both internal and external audits.
Assist in maintaining general ledger accounts with a high degree of accuracy.
Review and approve journal entries and reconciliations monthly ensuring processes, support and controls are maintained
Promote teamwork, cooperation and effective communication within the finance department.
Actively participate in the maintenance of the control environment ensuring processes and procedures are followed as required.
Assist in the preparation of ad-hoc reporting and analysis
Position Requirements:
Must be authorized to work in Canada
Holds or is actively pursuing a recognized professional accounting designation (CA, CMA, CGA, or CPA). Individuals with an equivalent mix of experience and education will also be considered
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within corporate manufacturing and public accounting
Experience with public company reporting, internal audit or corporate SOX compliance is an asset
Preferred Characteristics:
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with Oracle are an asset
Working knowledge of US GAAP and SOX an asset
Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills
Ability to work independently multitasking and prioritizing responsibilities in order to meet deadlines
