We are currently looking for a Plumbing Assembler to assist in the build and assembly of the pumps on fire trucks.
Job Responsibilities:
Install heat exchanger not already installed with value
Install master drain, primer control, pump shift, discharges, R&L rear and front bumper; bleeder and auto drains
Weld pipes as needed to complete installation
Connect lines to gauge panel
Install tank level sight tube
Effective use of conventional and precision measuring instruments
Perform inspection to assure quality welds
Maintain a clean and safe work area
Assist team members as needed and other duties as assigned
Skills & Qualifications:
Vocational training or equivalent experience in MIG welding
Demonstrated pipefitting knowledge and skills
Ability to use basic hand and power tools
Ability to use MIG welder and plasma cutter on stainless steel
Ability to read and use a tape measure to precise measurements
Basic math skills; addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
Read and work from blueprints and build specifications
Ability to retain and apply instructions
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high volume environment
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to multi-task with effective time management skills
Be flexible, reliable, and punctual
Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday 7:00am – 4:00pm
