Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and customer-focused Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our retail team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for customers, providing exceptional service while efficiently handling transactions. Your ability to communicate effectively, manage multiple tasks, and promote products will contribute to a positive shopping experience and drive sales growth. Bilingual skills and experience in retail sales or technology sales are highly valued.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their inquiries in person and over the phone
- Operate POS systems accurately for cash handling, credit card processing, and returns
- Conduct product demos and upsell items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales
- Manage merchandising displays to ensure attractive presentation of products
- Provide information about store promotions, loyalty programs, and new products
- Maintain organized checkout areas and ensure smooth transaction flow
- Handle customer complaints professionally and escalate issues when necessary
- Assist with inventory management and stock replenishment as needed
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills, time management, and phone etiquette during customer interactions
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service preferred
- Knowledge of POS systems, cash handling procedures, and basic math skills required
- Bilingual abilities (English plus additional language) are a strong plus for serving diverse customers
- Experience with merchandising, product demos, or technical sales is advantageous
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively are essential
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor to foster positive customer relationships
