About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounting Technician to join our finance team in Quebec. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting day-to-day operations: accounts receivable, accounts payables, accounting functions, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with month-end reporting. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong understanding of accounting principles and a passion for accuracy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:

Record daily financial transactions and maintain general ledger accounts

Prepare and process invoices, accounts payable, and accounts receivable

Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies

Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports

Maintain and organize financial documents in accordance with company policies and government regulations

Support payroll preparation and processing

Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate cost allocations and financial reporting

Assist with budget tracking and variance analysis

Prepare tax remittances (GST/QST, DAS, CNESST, etc.)

Ensure compliance with provincial and federal financial regulations

Participate in year-end audit preparation and support external auditors as needed
Qualifications:

Diploma or certificate in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

2+ years of relevant experience in an accounting role

Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, Acomba, or similar)

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools

Familiarity with Quebec and Canadian tax regulations

High attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Strong organizational and analytical skills

Excellent communication skills in French; English is an asset
