Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and hard-working Construction Electrical Laborer to support our field crews on commercial electrical construction projects. This position plays an important role in keeping job sites organized, efficient, and safe by assisting with material handling, housekeeping, deliveries, equipment spotting, and general site support.
The ideal candidate is dependable, physically capable, safety-minded, and willing to work as part of a team in a fast-paced construction environment. Key Responsibilities:
· Move, organize, load, unload, and stage electrical materials, tools, equipment, and supplies as directed
· Assist with receiving deliveries and ensuring materials are placed in the correct areas on site
· Maintain clean and organized work areas, storage areas, sea cans, and material laydown areas
· Clean up garbage, scrap material, packaging, and debris to help maintain safe access and egress
· Spot mobile equipment, delivery vehicles, telehandlers, skid steers, lifts, and other equipment when required
· Assist with basic site setup, temporary protection, signage, barriers, and general housekeeping
· Support electricians and apprentices by bringing materials, moving ladders, organizing carts, and helping with non-electrical tasks
· Follow site-specific safety requirements, company policies, safe work practices, and instructions from supervisors or foremen
· Complete required site documentation, orientations, hazard assessments, and training as assigned
· Use proper lifting techniques and ask for assistance when handling heavy or awkward materials
· Report hazards, damaged equipment, incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions to supervision
· Perform other general laborer duties as required to support the project team
Required Qualifications:
· Valid Class 5 driver’s license and reliable personal transportation are required
· Previous construction, warehouse, material handling, or laborer experience is considered an asset
· Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, carrying, bending, walking, and standing for extended periods
· Strong work ethic and willingness to take direction
· Reliable attendance and punctuality
· Ability to work safely around equipment, vehicles, tools, and active construction areas
· Ability to work outdoors and in changing site conditions when required
· Valid CSTS 2020 is required
· Fall Protection, MEWP, First Aid, or other safety training is considered an asset
