As a Continuous Improvement Specialist in our Ontario Stations, you will be responsible for acting as an expert in continuous improvement, process review and development of decision support tools in order to provide professional assistance to the development of services, including advising, monitoring and supporting various stakeholders. You will be responsible for the planning, coordination, implementation, monitoring and completion of specific mandates, consistent with the strategy, commitments and objectives of the management. You will design and propose development plans and programs to ensure proper planning of services. You will make recommendations for the implementation or improvement of programs or services. You will be invited to participate in various teaching and training activities as appropriate.
Your key responsibilities:
- Identify processes with opportunities for improvement
- Improve and implement new procedures
- Assume a consulting role with the teams
- Work in collaboration with different departments such as sales, business development, product development and corporate teams to foster collaboration and connectivity
- Plans and tracks timelines for projects and initiatives
- Provides reports defining project and initiative progress, issues and solutions
The Desired Candidate:
- Holds an undergraduate degree in Industrial Engineering or other degree relevant to the position
- Recognized in the provincial engineering association, an asset
- Experience in logistics operations or a related field would be an asset
- Holds a Lean Six Sigma certification; Green Belt level, an asset
- Has experience in process reengineering/mapping and continuous improvement
- Demonstrates the ability to work in French and English, both orally and in writing
Job requirement
- Ideally you are located in Ontario
- Available to travel to stations throughout Ontario. Valid driving licence required.
- Hybrid role – being on site 4 days a week, remote one day a week.
- The shift will start around 7am until 4pm (Monday-Friday).
