Your Opportunity:
The Supervisor provides daily management to the Service Workers and Staffing Office within the Emergency Department (ED); records and makes financial recommendations regarding supplies and equipment; and acts as a liaison with other departments within the hospital. This position is also responsible for ensuring that the ED has an adequate supply of medical/surgical supplies and that equipment is maintained at an efficient and safe working level. Fiscal responsibilities related to salaries/benefits and supplies. This position is a liaison with site administration for foundation requests and purchase with the department. This position also supports projects and committee work with the ED. This position reports to the Patient Care Manager.
Description:
The Supervisor is responsible for the daily operational management of the Service Workers and the Staffing Office within the Emergency Department (ED). This role ensures the department is adequately supplied with medical and surgical materials, oversees equipment functionality and safety, and provides fiscal input related to salaries, benefits, and supply budgets. Acting as a liaison between the ED and other hospital departments, the Supervisor supports administrative coordination, foundation-related purchasing requests, and departmental project and committee work. The position plays a key role in maintaining efficient ED operations and reports directly to the Patient Care Manager.

Required Qualifications:
High school diploma required. Minimum 5 years of Healthcare Administration experience. Previous experience managing and supervising a team of employees. Experience in healthcare procurement and shipping/receiving processes. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Oracle iProcurement. Strong knowledge of medical terminology and medical equipment terminology. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage increasing workloads and prioritize effectively. Must be able to work independently and perform well under pressure. The role requires sustained periods of standing, walking, pushing, pulling, and lifting equipment and supplies.
