About the role:
The Service Technician Apprentice serves as a foundational member of the Service Department, designed for individuals seeking to master the maintenance and repair of advanced mobility technology. Under the mentorship of Senior Technicians, the Apprentice will undergo rigorous technical training—combining manufacturer-led certifications with immersive field experience. While primarily a collaborative role, the candidate must demonstrate the technical proficiency and judgment required to execute independent repairs as they progress within the department.
Core Duties:
· Fulfill work orders as delegated by the service leadership team, ensuring all repairs align with manufacturer specifications.
· Collaborate with the Service Manager and Senior Service Technician to manage daily schedules and meet departmental deadlines.
· Proactively transition from supervised tasks to independent assignments as technical competencies expand.
· Maintain accurate records of all service activities, including parts used, labor hours, and technical findings, to ensure complete and transparent service history.
· Provide clear technical updates to the service team or customers regarding repair status, estimated completion times, and recommended future maintenance.
Candidate Requirements:
· Diagnostic & Problem-Solving Aptitude. Possess a strong analytical mindset to identify equipment malfunctions and implement effective, long-term mechanical solutions.
· Mechanical Precision & Attention to Detail. Demonstrate the ability to meticulously disassemble and reassemble complex mobility devices, adhering strictly to technical diagrams and manufacturer specifications.
· Technical Literacy. Ability to interpret mechanical schematics and utilize digital platforms to access webinars, service manuals, and diagnostic software.
· Professional Communication. Represent the company with excellence by communicating clearly and empathetically with clients regarding equipment status and operation.
· Physical Proficiency. Capable of performing physical tasks essential to the role, including the ability to lift and maneuver equipment weighing at least 50 lbs.
· Operational Time Management. Effectively prioritize a diverse daily workload to meet client needs and service deadlines in a high-demand environment.
· Resilience & Adaptability. Maintain a high standard of workmanship and professional composure when navigating time-sensitive repairs or complex service scenarios.
Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
